Veenker Family Reunion "Stay-Cation"

For the Veenker Family Reunion this year we decided to cut cost and have ourselves a "Stay-Cations." It turned out to be lots of fun. Thursday we went to Park City for a day of fun at the resort, or what ever that place is called and then stayed over night.

The second day we Toured the State Capital, played in SLC and then headed out to Bingham Copper Mines. Cool place to see if you have never gone before. We ended the night with the Lindon 14th ward with a BBQ and swimming at the new Pool. (Clint and I missed out on the pool because I was way to fried to be in the sun again.

Saturday was a really fun day with Soda Pop kick ball and an other BBQ at mom and dad's. Then on Saturday night we had a nice dinner with just the adults. It was a great time! I tried a new thing, putting my digital scrapbooking pages on the blog. It took a long time, but hopefully they turned out ok.

The Cabin

Here is the next thing that I'll miss when we move. The Cabin at Fairview Lakes, even though we don't make it up there too often (we'll probably go more now once we move). My family has had this property for...20 years maybe, and it has always been a great place with lots of memories attached to it.

Clint allowed us to go one more time before we left, so that's what we did for our 4th of July weekend. I usually don't take a lot of pictures of the scenery, but this time it was SO beautiful and now when I get a little homesick, I can look back on these pictures and feel like I am at home.

Clint, Jax and me at the top of the mountain looking down at the lake.

These guys aren't all in the same family, but they are the ones that came on the 4-wheeler ride with us, so this is who got to be in the picture. Hailey, Caleb and Zach.

It was so green and pretty up there, even the wild flowers were in bloom.

Some of the family fishing.

Now this isn't something that you see everyday. Clint fishing! He really wasn't fishing, he HATES fishing and he is holding the reason why in his hands, a tangle

Jax was trying to fish, but he wimped out and wouldn't jump in. Good thing because I don't know if he would be able to swim in such cold water.

The view of Fairview Lakes. We were on top of the ridge above the lake in the earlier picture.

Zach just so happy that Clint is getting out the tangle instead of him.

Mom, Doug and Afton in the boat.

Me, Hailey and Libby in the boat.

Drive way up to the cabin.

And the Cabin

The huge swing my dad and brothers made

And "The Condo" It is actually the generator shed, but before the cabin was build, this is were we slept in the winter and it some how got the name "The Condo." Probably because it's so huge and spacious :)

Farewell to the cabin, I'll see you again when I visit. Take good care of it family. I'll miss you all!
